My first wedding interning with Floriography Flowers

This week, Floriography Flowers had two weddings. One wedding where the bride wanted nothing but color, while the other bride wanted very natural "of the earth" flowers. The wedding I mainly worked on was the bride of the very natural style which had her wedding in Cerrillos, NM at the Hacienda Dona Andrea venue. Her bouquet was full of greenery, air plants, a cactus and a few daises. I also go to help make the boutonniere for the groom which had greenery and cotton. Making a boutonniere felt very similar to making a flower crown, using the same concepts. The bride topped off her look with a flower crown that my co-worker made. One of the highlights of the wedding was the piece they ordered at the front where they exchanged their vows. It was completely created from Floriography with large branches making the outline and various greenery surrounding it. I am attaching photos from the wedding below.

It was very interesting to see the role of a florist in a wedding. Instead of being there for the whole wedding like an event planner, we arrived, set up for one hour and then left. My favorite part was getting to hand the bridal and maid of honor bouquet to the bride. It was that moment that I realized why I wanted to be a part of this industry, to be an integrate role of someone's most important day of their life. The photo of the bride and groom is from the photographer's instagram hired for the wedding. @thefoxesphotography
